The Court of Appeal today concluded hearings on the writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who is seeking an order to prevent his arrest and detention in connection with investigations into the 2019 Easter attacks.
The Court announced that its order on whether to grant permission to proceed with the petition will be delivered on September 22.
The bench further directed that any written submissions related to the case must be filed before August 31. (Newswire)
