Iran has warned it will “exact a heavy price” after Israel struck a uranium processing facility in Yazd and multiple key infrastructure sites, escalating tensions on day 28 of the conflict.
The Israeli military confirmed targeting a facility linked to uranium enrichment, while Iranian authorities said there were no casualties or radiation leaks. A projectile also landed near the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant without causing damage.
The strikes were part of a wider wave of attacks that also hit the Khondab Heavy Water Complex and major steel plants in Khuzestan and Isfahan.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attacks on nuclear and industrial infrastructure, signalling a strong retaliatory response. (NewsWire)
