Thalassemia is a serious blood disorder that requires lifelong medical care and, in severe cases, a bone marrow transplant can offer the best chance for a healthier future.
As part of Project Hope Beyond Blood, the Thalassemia Awareness Workshop was held, aiming to educate and raise awareness but also to extend a helping hand to those in need.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Rotaract Clubs of American National College, Colombo South, KDU, NSBM, Royal Institute of Colombo and SLIIT, raised funds for Mr. Muhammad Umair, who is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Narayana Health City Hospital, India.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help ease the financial burden on his family and support his journey toward recovery.
