Sri Lanka Police have sought public assistance to apprehend a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in the Kalutara North Police Division earlier this month.
In a statement issued by the Police Media Division, investigations are underway into the shooting incident reported on February 14 at a shop in the Ladiyamankada Junction area in Kalutara North.
Police said two unidentified individuals had arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire using a firearm, resulting in the death of a man inside the premises.
Investigations are being carried out by the Kalutara North Police and the Kalutara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit to identify and arrest those responsible for the killing.
Based on investigations conducted so far, Police have released details of one suspect believed to be involved in the incident.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 27 years old, with a dark complexion.
