The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for strong winds for the sea areas extending from Pottuvil to Hambantota and from Kalpitiya to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.
According to the Department, the sea areas off the coasts extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Kalpitiya to Kankasanthurai via Mannar will be rough at times with strong gusty winds up to 50-60 kmph.
The Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant and be attentive in this regard. (Newswire)
