Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne informed Parliament today (20) that he had received copies of four more petitions filed before the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
He said that this was in addition to the copies of three petitions filed before the Supreme Court he had received yesterday.
The Speaker made the announcement at the commencement of today’s parliamentary sitting. (Newswire)
