The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has dismissed circulating reports claiming a fuel price revision is imminent, describing the information as completely false.

CPC Managing Director Mayura Neththikumara said the false reports had led to queues forming at filling stations, but assured the public that there was no fuel shortage in the country.

He further stated that two crude oil shipments, each carrying 90,000 metric tonnes of crude oil from the United States (US) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), are scheduled to arrive at the Colombo Port in the coming days. (Newswire)
