An 18-year-old youth has died after being electrocuted while at work at a vehicle service centre in Ruwanwella.
Police said the incident occurred on the afternoon of July 2 in the Ihala Morawatta area of the Ruwanwella Police Division.
The victim, a resident of Morawatta, Ruwanwella, was admitted to the Karawanella Hospital following the incident but later succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the youth suffered the electric shock while carrying out his duties at the vehicle service establishment.
