Police have denied widely circulated social media claims that, starting today, a Rs. 500,000 fine or two-year imprisonment will be imposed for drunk driving.
In a statement issued via Facebook, police clarified that the claim has no legal basis and is completely false.
They urged the public not to be misled by such misinformation and warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who create or share false and misleading content. (NewsWire)
