The Sri Lanka Navy officially moved to its new headquarters at the Defence Headquarters Complex in Akuregoda on Dec. 9, in line with its 75th anniversary.
Deputy Minister of Defence Maj. Gen. Aruna Jayasekara (Ret.) attended the ceremony as chief guest and praised the Navy’s professionalism and recent humanitarian operations.
Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Ret.), and senior officers from the tri-forces and police were also present at the event. (Newswire)
