A 39‑year‑old resident of Karandeniya was arrested yesterday (21) after Police found 8.58 kilos of ‘ICE’ narcotics in his possession.
According to the Police, the suspect was arrested following a raid carried out by officers of the Elpitiya Division Crime Investigation Unit.
The suspect was taken to the Karandeniya Police Station after being arrested.
He is scheduled to be produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate’s Court today (22). (Newswire)
