Mogo Studios has released the trailer of Sri Lanka’s first animated feature film, “The Secret of the Moonstone,” marking a major milestone for the country’s film and animation industry.
The trailer has been unveiled for a global audience, ahead of the film’s planned worldwide release in the near future.
Set in a futuristic version of Colombo, the story follows a young boy named Lucky and his best friend Taniya as they set out on a high-stakes adventure into Sri Lanka’s mystical forests. Their mission is to uncover the lost Book of Wisdom, once owned by Lucky’s ancestor, Maha Dena Muttha. The ancient book is guarded by a magical creature known as Nila.
As the journey unfolds, the children face resistance from a longtime adversary, Chandi, while navigating a world that blends advanced technology with Sri Lanka’s rich folklore. Along the way, they gather allies and rediscover themes of wisdom, heritage, and friendship. (Newswire)
