Rs. 7.5 billion supplementary estimate approved for Yala paddy purchases

Parliament today (21) approved a supplementary estimate of Rs. 7.5 billion to fund the government’s purchase of paddy during the 2026 Yala season.
The estimate was presented by Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation Minister K.D. Lal Kantha and debated in Parliament until 12:30 p.m. (Newswire)
