Rohitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, left the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) after spending around five hours with investigators on Thursday.
According to reports, Rajapaksa had been summoned in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged investment of Rs. 19 million in two institutions located in Mirihana.
No further details regarding the investigation or any action taken against Rajapaksa were immediately disclosed by the authorities. The investigation is continuing. (Newswire)
