Minister Nalinda Jayatissa met the chief prelates of the Malwatta and Asgiriya Chapters in Kandy and received religious advice and blessings today (13).
During the visit, the minister also informed the Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera and Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera about the upcoming state ceremony of the traditional ‘Hisa Thel Gama’ (oil anointing ritual) and formally invited the senior monks to attend the event.
Among those present were Additional Secretary (Administration) of the Health and Mass Media Ministry and Commissioner of Indigenous Medicine U. S. K. Denawatta, Additional Secretary Samanthi Ranasinghe, Commissioner General of Ayurveda A. M. G. N. Deepthi Sumanasena, and Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Drugs Corporation Geethamani C.
