Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera visited Trincomalee today, following tensions over the removal of a Buddha statue and the Coast Conservation Department’s enforcement action in the area.
Gnanasara Thera strongly condemned the police response, alleging that officers had acted in a manner disrespectful to the Buddhist community and the temple’s activities. (Newswire)
