SriLankan Airlines has resumed flights to Kathmandu following the reopening of Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport by the country’s Civil Aviation Authority.

Accordingly, SriLankan Airlines flight UL-181 departed from Katunayake Airport for Nepal at 8:15 this morning.

Due to the recent unrest in Nepal, international flights between Sri Lanka and Nepal were suspended yesterday following the temporary closure of the airport.

SriLankan Airlines is currently the only carrier operating flights to Tribhuvan Airport, with services scheduled four times a week, on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. (Newswire)
