MP Ramananthan Archchuna has shared copies of what he says are his parliamentary salary slips for June and July 2026, claiming that his monthly fuel allowance increased from Rs. 179,707.93 in June to Rs. 244,300.46 in July.
In a social media post, the MP said the increase reflected additional payments being credited to Members of Parliament and criticized the government over the matter.
The documents shared by the MP show the fuel allowance increasing by about Rs. 64,600 between the two months, while the gross monthly payment also rose from Rs. 412,492.93 in June to Rs. 484,585.46 in July. (Newswire)
