The Department of Meteorology has forecast showers or thundershowers across most parts of Sri Lanka after 1 p.m. today (November 2).
Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm is expected in some areas of the Sabaragamuwa, Central and North Central provinces, as well as the Trincomalee and Mullaitivu districts.
The department said showers may also occur in the Western and Southern provinces during the morning.
Meanwhile, misty conditions are expected in parts of the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces, along with the Kurunegala and Anuradhapura districts, during the early morning.
The public has been advised to take necessary precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (Newswire)
