Police have arrested a suspect and seven women during a raid on a brothel operating under the guise of a massage centre in Seeduwa last night (05).
The raid was carried out by officers of the Seeduwa Police, who said the premises in Seeduwa town had been operating as a massage centre while allegedly providing prostitution services.
The manager of the establishment, a 46-year-old resident of Batapola, was arrested along with seven women aged between 22 and 39 who were allegedly engaged in prostitution.
The women are residents of Kandana, Gampaha, Ginigathhena, Matale, Kurunegala, Badulla and Nawalapitiya, Police said.
Seeduwa Police are conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
