The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 24‑hour suspension of water supply to several areas from tomorrow (24) evening due to essential maintenance work on the main line carrying water from Labugama and Kalatuwawa to Maharagama.
According to the Board, the water cut will be in effect from 6.00 pm tomorrow (24) until 6.00 pm the following day (25).
As such, the water supply will be disrupted to the Galagedara, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, Pelanwatta, and Maharagama areas during this period.
The Water Board expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers and urged residents in the affected localities to use water sparingly until services are restored. (Newswire)
