A 24-year-old woman was killed following an assault at a housing complex in the Angulana police area on Tuesday, police said.
The incident occurred at the Sayurapura apartment complex, where the woman was allegedly attacked following a dispute with a man, believed to be her extramarital partner, according to preliminary investigations.
The victim, a resident of Wadduwa in the Kudawaskaduwa area, died due to injuries sustained in the assault, police said.
Angulana Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect, who remains at large. (Newswire)
