The first BPL match on Thursday – between Chattogram Royals and Noakhali Express – has been delayed after both teams did not arrive at the venue for the toss, which was scheduled for 12.30 pm local time. The match was supposed to begin at 1pm local time.
Shipar Ahmed, match referee of the Chattogram-Noakhali match, told ESPNcricinfo: “We are standing in the middle of the ground. We don’t know what’s happening. The BPL technical committee can tell you better.”
Earlier on Thursday, matches in the Dhaka Cricket League did not begin as the player boycott threatened by the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh last evening came into effect. (ESPNcricinfo)
