The United States has discussed strengthening cooperation with Sri Lanka in the ports and civil aviation sectors during a meeting with Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilaka.
The Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. State Department said it appreciated the meeting with Minister Karunathilaka to explore collaboration in Sri Lanka’s ports and aviation sectors.
According to the bureau, strengthening critical infrastructure in these sectors would support increased trade and economic growth, while also contributing to a safer and more secure Indo-Pacific region.(Newswire)
