Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is set to appoint Kusal Mendis as captain of both the ODI and T20I teams from the upcoming West Indies tour, according to a report by the The Sunday Times.
The report said the 31-year-old wicketkeeper-batter is expected to replace Charith Asalanka as ODI captain and Dasun Shanaka as T20I skipper as Sri Lanka looks to bring stability and direction to its white-ball setup ahead of a busy international schedule.
Meanwhile, Dhananjaya de Silva is expected to continue as captain of the Test side, the report added. (Newswire)
