The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) year-on-year, has increased to 0.6% in May 2025.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, it is an increase from the -0.8% reported in April 2025.
Food inflation also increased to 5.9% in May 2025, compared to the 2.9% recorded in April this year.
Meanwhile, non-food inflation was -3.4% in May 2025, an increase from April’s figure of -3.7%.
