
Former Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today (10) in connection with investigations into the controversial MiG aircraft procurement transaction.
Goonetileke arrived at the FCID at 9.30 am, in compliance with a prior notification requiring his presence.
He was summoned to provide a statement as part of the ongoing inquiry into the MiG deal, which has been under investigation for several years.
It is reported that the former Commander, who later rose to the ceremonial rank of Marshal of the Air Force, is being questioned regarding details of the procurement process and related transactions. (Newswire)
