Jakarta police, together with a special team from Sri Lanka’s Criminal Investigation Department, have arrested six underworld figures, including several high-profile suspects, officials said.
Among those taken into custody are Backhoe Saman, Thembili Lahiru, Kehelbaddara Padme, Commando Salinda, Panadura Nilanga, and a female associate.
Police stated that the joint operation took place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Sri Lankan police said that further investigations are underway into their activities and international links. (Newswire)
