Sri Lanka’s dengue death toll has risen to 71, with more than 93,000 cases reported so far this year, according to the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU).
A total of 93,115 dengue cases have been recorded across the country, including 7,777 cases reported so far in August.
Gampaha has recorded the highest number of cases this year, with 19,825 infections, followed by Colombo with 18,475.
Kandy has reported 6,726 cases, while Matara and Kalutara have recorded 6,066 and 6,013 cases, respectively, according to the NDCU. (Newswire)
