Vietjet has launched flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo, with its inaugural service arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport.
The airline will operate three weekly flights connecting Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
The inaugural flight was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute, followed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Arriving passengers were also presented with Ceylon Tea packs as part of the welcome. (Newswire)
