Fuel prices in Sri Lanka have surged by around 35% following the outbreak of the Middle East conflict, with increases implemented in two separate revisions by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco).
Since 9 March, Lanka Petrol 92 Octane has risen by Rs. 105 to Rs. 398, while Petrol 95 Octane has increased by Rs. 115 to Rs. 455.
Auto Diesel has been raised by Rs. 101 to Rs. 382, and Super Diesel by Rs. 114 to Rs. 443.
Combined with the previous revision, prices across key fuel categories have now increased by roughly one-third, reflecting the impact of rising global oil prices amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. (Newswire)
