
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will travel to India tomorrow (Feb. 17) at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit 2026, the President’s Media Division said.
The five-day summit, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Modi, will focus on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence for the benefit of humanity.
President Dissanayake is scheduled to deliver an address on Feb. 19.
The event is expected to bring together Heads of State from 20 countries and representatives from more than 45 nations. Discussions will center on the future direction of Artificial Intelligence and its potential role in addressing global challenges.
During the visit, the President is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi and several other world leaders. (Newswire)
