Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts today (28), according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 2.00 p.m.
The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
