Dollar rates today: Rupee shows slight recovery against US dollar

The Sri Lankan rupee has appreciated slightly against the US dollar across commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (22), after having significantly depreciated over the last few days. However, the selling rate remains above Rs. 350.

According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar remain unchanged at Rs. 342.75 and Rs. 354.75, respectively.

At NDB Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have decreased slightly from Rs. 344 to Rs. 341 and from Rs. 354 to Rs. 351, respectively.

People’s Bank reports the buying rate of the US Dollar has reduced from Rs. 344.44 to Rs. 343.95, while the selling rate has also dropped from Rs. 354.74 to Rs. 354.24.

Meanwhile, at Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates remain unchanged at Rs. 343.09 and Rs. 354.25, respectively.

At Sampath Bank, the buying and selling rates have decreased slightly from Rs. 344.50 to Rs. 343.50 and from Rs. 353.50 to Rs. 352.50. (Newswire)
