Muthukumarana, affectionately known to guests as ‘PK’, has been recognised as the Most Promising Bartender at the prestigious 31st National Bartenders Competition 2026, further reinforcing the resort’s commitment to delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences.
Held in Colombo, the 31st edition of Sri Lanka’s premier bartending competition brought together some of the country’s most accomplished mixologists, who competed across multiple stages by showcasing technical excellence, creativity, precision, and innovation through cocktails inspired by locally sourced spirits and indigenous ingredients. Organised by the Sri Lanka Hospitality Graduates Association (SLHGA) in partnership with the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management (SLITHM) and International Distillers Limited (IDL), the competition followed months of regional rounds, masterclasses, and semi-finals before culminating in the national grand finale.
Known for his warm personality, engaging service, and expertly crafted cocktails, PK has become a familiar and much-loved face among guests visiting Hilton Yala Resort.
