Due to active of South West Monsoon
conditions over the island, there is a possibility of enhancing the prevailing showery condition in south-western part of the Island on 01 September.
Heavy showers, above 100 mm are likely at
some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa
and Southern provinces and in Kandy,
Nuwara-Eliya districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
