The passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai in Jaffna and Nagai in Tamil Nadu, India, which was temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions, has resumed transport operations.
It is reported that the ferry service, which suspended services on 13 June, resumed operations yesterday (18 June).
The ferry is operated by Subham Ferry Services, a subsidiary of the Subham Group.
The ferry service was relaunched for the first time in August 2024 after a 41-year hiatus owing to Sri Lanka’s ethnic conflict.
It runs six days a week, excluding Tuesdays, and has been operating under the protection of the Navy and with the approval of the Government. (Newswire)
