The Colombo High Court has postponed until June 9 the delivery of judgments in four cases filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) against former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena.
Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal issued the order after informing court that the judgements, originally scheduled to be delivered today (26), were not yet ready.
The four cases relate to allegations that Gunawardena caused a financial loss to the government in 2006, during his tenure as Chairman of the National Lotteries Board, by procuring vehicles for the Board on a rental basis. (Newswire)
