SLT Group records 11.1% revenue growth in Q2 2026

SLT-MOBITEL Group’s revenue increased 11.1% in the second quarter of 2026, while profit after tax rose 54.4% to more than Rs. 6.6 billion, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne said.

Speaking at the release of the Group’s first-half financial results in Colombo, he said the performance demonstrated SLT’s stability and effective management despite global economic challenges and rising energy costs.

He also noted that SLT-MOBITEL contributed Rs. 33.7 billion to the Treasury through taxes and other government levies in 2025.

The Deputy Minister highlighted SLT-MOBITEL’s contribution to bridging the digital divide through its nationwide fibre network, government digital infrastructure, SEA-ME-WE 6 submarine cable and School Fiberization Project.

He added that Sri Lanka AI Week 2026, scheduled for September 28 to October 4, would support the country’s efforts to establish itself as an AI technology hub. (Newswire)
