The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has extended Level 1 and Level 2 landslide warnings issued for 24 Divisional Secretariat divisions across six districts, with the alerts remaining in effect until 4 p.m. on Tuesday (26).
Level 2 warnings have been issued for the Dehiowita, Deraniyagala, Ruwanwella and Yatiyantota Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Kegalle District, as well as the Kuruwita, Ratnapura, Ayagama and Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Ratnapura District.
Meanwhile, Level 1 warnings remain in effect for the Seethawaka and Padukka Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Colombo District and the Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat division in the Gampaha District.
The warnings also cover the Palindanuwara, Matugama, Bulathsinhala, Agalawatta, Ingiriya and Horana Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Kalutara District, along with Bulathkohupitiya in the Kegalle District.
In addition, Level 1 landslide warnings have been issued for the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat division in the Nuwara Eliya District and the Kiriella, Pelmadulla, Nivithigala, Elapatha and Kalawana Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Ratnapura District. (Newswire)
