A bus belonging to the Waththegama Depot has met with an accident after toppling over in the Araliya Uyana area today.
The SLTB bus had met with an accident while travelling from Kudugala to Kandy via Watthegama.
It is reported that the bus had veered off the road and toppled over near a house, during which 15 passengers were injured.
Eight of the injured passengers had been admitted to the Waththegama Hospital.
It is stated that while the bus was moving, the door near the driver’s seat had suddenly opened, and when the driver went to grab it, the bus lost control and headed towards a slope.
Around 25 passengers had been on the bus at the time of the accident, and it is reported that none of the injured are in serious condition. (Newswire/ Image- Accident1st)
