The Ministry of Transport and Highways says Cabinet approval has been granted for awarding the construction contract for the Kadawatha Interchange, which will connect the Outer Circular Highway and the Central Expressway, as well as for the first phase of the Central Expressway.
According to the Ministry, contractors have been selected through a competitive bidding process.
The Ministry added that the total cost of the project is Rs. 8.6 billion, and construction is scheduled to begin in September. (Newswire)
