The Constitutional Council has called for applications from qualified individuals to be recommended for existing and upcoming vacancies in the National Police Commission.
According to the Council, applications must be prepared using the format published under the link titled “Recommendation for Membership of the National Police Commission” on the Sri Lanka Parliament website.
Completed applications should be submitted on or before July 31, 2026.
They may be sent either by registered post to: Acting Secretary- General, Constitutional Council – Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte, or by email to constitutionalcouncil@parliament.lk.
Applicants have been instructed to clearly mark “Recommendation for Membership of the National Police Commission” on the top left corner of the envelope or as the subject line of the email.
The Constitutional Council emphasized that the process aims to ensure qualified candidates are considered for the Commission, which plays a key role in overseeing police administration and safeguarding accountability. (Newswire)
