The Government is calling on citizens across Sri Lanka to donate land to support the construction of permanent housing for families who lost their homes during Cyclone Ditwah, the Department of Government Information said.

The land donation drive is part of the ongoing ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ initiative, which aims to provide lasting housing solutions for affected communities. The project is already underway, focusing on restoring lives and livelihoods with improved living standards.

More information on how to contribute is available at www.rebuildingsrilanka.gov.lk or via the hotline 1800. Land donor details can also be submitted by fax to 011 233 1246.

All philanthropic individuals across the country are invited to actively join hands with this programme in support of our fellow citizens affected by the disaster, the President’s Media Division said in a statement. (Newswire)
