A restaurant in Kandy was raided for selling bottled drinking water above the controlled price, the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) said.
The raid was carried out by Kandy District investigating officers following a complaint received through the 1977 consumer hotline.
Officials said the restaurant, which belongs to a restaurant chain operating in the Kandy area, was found selling bottled water exceeding the stipulated maximum retail price.
The CAA said legal action will be taken against the establishment for violating controlled price regulations.
