A 36-year-old man was killed in Ganegoda, within the Elpitiya Police Division, on the evening of September 8, 2025.
Police said the victim, a resident of the area, had been attacked with a sharp weapon during a dispute with another individual. Initial investigations revealed that the altercation escalated, leading the suspect to fatally assault the man.
The body has been referred for a magistrate’s inquiry. Elpitiya Police have launched further investigations and are taking steps to arrest the suspect. (Newswire)
