A 23-year-old man has been arrested with four locally manufactured firearms during a raid in Dematagoda, Police said.
The arrest was made last night (28) during an operation conducted by officers of the Western Province North Crime Division in the Siridhamma Mawatha area within the Dematagoda Police Division.
Police said four locally manufactured T-Katas type firearms were recovered from the suspect during the raid.
The arrested suspect is a resident of the Dematagoda area.
The Western Province North Crime Division is conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
