A suspect wanted in connection with a contract-style killing that took place on January 10, 2024, in Galabadawatta, Korathota, has been arrested by the Western Province South Crime Division. The arrest occurred in the early hours of June 2, 2025, at the arrival terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The 34-year-old victim, a resident of Korathota, was abducted and shot dead by individuals who had impersonated Special Task Force (STF) officers. The suspect, a 27-year-old resident of Heyyanthuduwa, is currently being interrogated by the Western Province South Crime Division. Investigations are ongoing. (Newswire)
