What if an entire little world arrived at your doorstep, tucked inside an envelope?
That’s the idea behind The Owl Post, a one-of-a-kind story mail club created by Sri Lankan author Maryam Ismath Hussain.
Every month, Maryam Hussain creates an original story and turns it into a little experience to be discovered. Each edition is different, with thoughtfully curated surprises that bring the story to life.
From professionally edited, copyrighted stories with their own ISBNs to original hand-illustrated artwork and exclusive extras, there’s always something waiting to be uncovered.
What began as an idea for local readers has travelled much further than expected. Following growing international interest, The Owl Post now makes its way to readers across the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and many more destinations.
The November edition, titled The Blank Page, is particularly special. Inspired by a real-life interview with a businessman who was once mocked and dismissed at school, the story follows an unexpected journey from being labelled a future failure to becoming one of the most successful people in his industry.
This limited edition comes with an original, hand-illustrated comic strip featuring a scene from the story and two exclusive discount coupons from the featured businessman’s company. His identity and business remain a surprise, waiting to be discovered by those who receive their copies.
And here’s what makes The Owl Post different: each edition is produced in limited quantities and will never be reproduced in quite the same way again. Once an edition is gone, that particular experience is gone with it.
Fancy finding a limited edition story in your mailbox?
