One person has sustained serious injuries in a shooting reported in the Galkulama area in Anuradhapura on Wednesday.
The Police said the victim is a 29-year-old father of two and a resident of Siyambalagaswewa.
It is reported that the victim had run towards a petrol shed after being shot and had collapsed, after which he had been admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital.
The victim is reportedly in a critical condition.
The cause of the shooting is yet to be ascertained, while the suspects are also yet to be identified.
